2025 Federal Budget approved, Lula visits Japan and Vietnam to boost strategic trade deals, and the STF to review coup attempt charges
The Federal Budget for 2025 was finally approved. The final version of the text is being prepared so it can be sent for presidential approval. According to the Constitution, the president has 15 working days to sanction the budget after receiving the text. President Lula is currently on an official trip to Japan and Vietnam. In Japan, Lula will negotiate the opening of the Japanese market to Brazilian beef. In Vietnam, the president will discuss an action plan to elevate the country to the status of Strategic Partner of Brazil. Tomorrow, the First Panel of the Supreme Court will analyze a complaint filed by the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGR) against former President Jair Bolsonaro and 33 others accused of attempting a coup d’état.
