A Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) is being negotiated to guarantee the payment of the Auxílio Brasil program at R$ 600 next year. Alckmin also said that the purpose of the proposal is to guarantee the continuity of public projects and services. It is estimated that around R$ 200 billion will be needed to meet President Lula's campaign promises in 2023. Representatives of the elected government have already started negotiations with the PSD, União Brazil, and MDB to broaden support in Congress. The MDB will appoint someone next week to join the transition team. It is important to mention that after President Jair Bolsonaro's video regarding the roadblocks, demonstrations have fallen dramatically.
