A vote count update and Magyar's introductory speech

The officially communicated election result did not change significantly overnight, but the vote count rose to 98.9%. Importantly, the 170k mail votes cast by nonresidents have been counted and included, and so the most non-transparent part of the election process has been eliminated. What remains is the counting of the votes cast by local residents away from the geographical location of their permanent addresses, in and outside the country, up to a potential maximum of 224k and 91k, respectively. The currently known election result looks is still Tisza 138 seats, Fidesz 55 seats and the far right Mi Hazánk 6 seats, Tisza having 4 seats more than the required minimum for a constitutional supermajority. The overall participation rate of domestic voters came out to 79.6%, an historic record high.Importantly, the number of Tisza's parliamentary seats may still get higher, as there are four voting constituencies with only a small lead for Fidesz, and a relatively big number of yet uncounted votes (see above). As it happens, those voting away from their registered geographic locality tend to be majority non-Fidesz voters; these people are predominantly young, who are away from home to take jobs or attend a university, and Fidesz has majority support only among the elderly. Anyway, all this is expected to be known by Saturday this week.
