All is relatively dull on the inflation front

CPI inflation came in at 0.57%, m/m, in March broadly in line with expectations (0.5%), with the 12-month CPI rate hence easing to 11.9% from 12.4% in February. Domestic-PPI inflation came in at 0.87% in the month, which also lowered the 12-month rate to 8.5%, from 9.3% in the previous month (Graph 1; Table 1).
