AKP was quick to condemn the Egypt coup, and even seem to encourage the supporters of Moslem Brotherhood to resist. This may be understandable from a moral perspective, but is very likely to result in the loss of Egypt’s alliance to AKP. The coup is major blow to the Sunni Axis. According to state minister Besir Atalay, the government will unveil a reform package targeting Alevites and Kurds, details very sketchy.  By the way, a court over-turned the re-construction of Gezi Parki, sparing AKP an embarrassing loss in a potential referendum. Are pro-Gezi Parki holding companies being punished?  Dogus Holding unexpectedly pulled out of the tender for the reconstruction of Golden Horn Shipyards, while “after complaints” an inquiry was launched in the tender of military vessels, worth Euro1.5 billion, formerly awarded to Koc Holding. Markets restless, bond yields moving up in thin trade, CBT inflation report fails to acknowledge risks.  Cosmo remains very scared of a second panic attack in GEM.  Fundamentals are weak, money is fleeing and unrest may spread further.
