This will be another slow week in Congress due to the municipal elections. Next Sunday (October 27), voters in 52 cities with a population above 200,000 residents will hold the runoff of the municipal elections. Once the runoff concludes, the National Congress, which has been in an informal recess since August, will return to work with a packed agenda. Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM), the rapporteur for PLP No. 68/24 (regulation of the Tax Reform), which introduces the Contribution on Goods and Services (CBS) and the Tax on Goods and Services (IBS), will present his work schedule in the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) on Wednesday, October 23.
