Armenia relaxes state of emergency

On September 11 the government ended the state of emergency which was declared in March 2020 due to coronavirus. Nationwide quarantine remains in place until January 11.People must wear face masks in public including on the street. Social distancing is mandatory. School and universities are opening on September 14. International flights can restart. Those arriving will be tested and if found positive they will be isolated. Local lockdowns will be allowed to be imposed by local authorities. The government retains the right to close the border of the situation requires it. There are 3 million people in Armenia and its has suffered 45 000 cases but only 900 deaths.
