Azerbaijan outraged at French Senate endorsing Nagorno Karabakh independence

On November 26 Baku demanded that France be expelled from the Minsk Group. The group consists of France, Russia and the USA, The OSCE controls the Minsk Group. France is more sympathetic to Armenia than any other Western country.The French Senate proposed that Nagorno Karabakh be recognized as independent. Azerbaijan says that Nagonro Karabakh is an integral part of their sovereign territory. Nagorno Karabakh is almost exclusively ethnically Armenian. Nagorno Karabakh calls itself a country named Artsakh. The French Senate's resolution is only advisory. Macron has not endorsed it. France has small but influential community of citizens of Armenian origin. France recognizes the Armenian Genocide.
