Consumer prices rose by a slightly less than expected 2.4% in October, m/m, with the 12-month rate therefore edging up further to just under 20% (19.9%) from 19.6% in September. Producer prices increased sharply again in October, by 5.2%, m/m, with the 12-month rate thus reaching a historic high of 46.3%, up from 44% in the previous month (Graph 1; Table 1).
