On January 30 Lukashenko visited Zimbabwe. The purpose was to enhance economic and political links. The two countries cooperate on mining and agriculture. Belarus has been donating farm equipment to Zimbabwe since 2019. The President of Zimbabwe visited Belarus in 2019. Zimbabwe is one of a few countries outside the CSTO that is willing to receive Lukashenko. On February 2 Lukashenko flew to the UAE. There he met the president of the UAE. The two discussed trade. The UAE is neutral in the Ukraine War. It has mediated prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine.
