Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) has been indicted by the Prosecutor General's Office (PGR) for attempting a coup d'état after the 2022 elections. Bolsonaro has also been charged with the crimes of violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law and criminal organization. A poll published yesterday by the Paraná Institute showed that the polarization between President Lula and Jair Bolsonaro (PL) continues. The poll indicates that Bolsonaro would defeat Lula in the first round (36% to 33.8%) and in the runoff (45.1% to 40.2%). Meanwhile, legislative activities will remain slow until after Carnival. Senator Rogério Carvalho (PT-SE) stated yesterday that the 2025 Federal Budget will be voted on in the week following Carnival.
