Datafolha shows pessimism about the economy

The coronavirus pandemic has led to pessimism in the population in relation to the economy. According to a Datafolha poll released today, March 24, 79% of respondents estimate that the Brazilian economy “will be greatly affected by the crisis." Fifty percent believe that the pandemic will damage the economy “for a long time."

In other political news, on March 25, the House of Deputies may hold a virtual session to vote on PLP 149/2019, which creates the Fiscal Balance Plan for states and municipalities, known as the "Mansueto Plan". With the deterioration of the economy due to the coronavirus pandemic, the matter has gained priority among the leaders of the House.
