President Bolsonaro gives a press conference, and more measures to combat the virus are announced

For the first time since the coronavirus pandemic took hold, this afternoon President Jair Bolsonaro gave a press conference, accompanied by ministers who are part of the Executive’s Crisis Committee. The initiative comes after criticism on social media as well as protests that took place against the president in some cities in the country. In an interview after the president´s press conference, Lower House President Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ) said that he saw the picture of a government trying to manage the crisis.
