Times are changing in Turkish politics rapidly, as President Erdogan reaches a fork in the path of foreign policy, as the opposition begins to unite and expand its member parties.
Erdogan came back from his NY trip in bad spirits, blasting the Biden administration for the “usual suspects”, i.e., unjust S-400 sanctions, aid to pro-PKK YPD/PYG in Northeast Syria, refusal to sell F-35, etc.
One may consider these statements as a thin cover to assume a more pro-Russian policy stance, but he is also critical about Putin and refuses to countenance peace with Assad.
