Deputy Cláudio Cajado (PP-BA), rapporteur for the fiscal framework, postponed the submission of his report to next Tuesday, May 16. The vote in the plenary next week is still uncertain but we continue to expect the House to approve the text in May and send it to the Senate. On Wednesday, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) judges the cases related to the civil framework of the internet. The adjudication of the cases occurs at a time when big tech has been criticizing a bill that intends to regulate the use of social media. There is an Extraordinary Appeal, of which Justice Luiz Fux is rapporteur, on whether a host company of a website must supervise the content published in its electronic domains and remove information considered offensive without the need for intervention from the Judiciary.
