The rapporteur of the bill that deals with the Budget Guidelines Law (LDO), Deputy Danilo Forte (União Brasil-CE), announced yesterday, after a meeting with the government, that the target for next year will be a zero deficit, as defended by the economic team. This is a victory for the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad. Thursday, November 23, is the deadline for President Lula to sanction or veto part of or the entire bill that extends the payroll tax exemption for 17 sectors of the economy until 2027. On the Supreme Federal Court's (STF) agenda, it is worth highlighting the possibility of adjudicating cases that deal with the moment of charging the ICMS tax rate differential.
