Yesterday, Deputy Alencar Santana (PT-SP) submitted his report on the Desenrola program. As anticipated, he proposes a limit for debts, so that the interest and fees charged do not exceed the total amount of the debt. In the House, President Arthur Lira said that the bill on payroll tax exemptions may be put to a vote. But the measure that reduces the social contribution from 20% to 8% on payroll taxes in cities with up to 142,600 inhabitants will likely be removed. In the Senate, a vote on the bill that deals with the tie-breaking vote in the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF) is expected. The Economic Affairs Committee (CAE) approved rapporteur Senator Otto Alencar's (PSD-BA) report on Wednesday (23).
