Disapproval of the administration reaches 43%

"Bad/Very bad” evaluations of the Jair Bolsonaro administration increased by five percentage points in nearly 30 days, reaching the highest level of disapproval since August 2019, according to the most recent Datafolha poll released today, May 28. On the other hand, Bolsonaro continues to demonstrate resilience, since positive evaluations (Great/Good) remain intact.

It is interesting to note that the migration of those who considered the government “regular” to “bad/very bad” shows that the pro-Bolsonaro vs anti-Bolsonaro polarization is starting to show clear delineations in public opinion. The increase in the government’s disapproval rating can be attributed to the coronavirus pandemic and its economic impact, which is increasingly tangible in the population’s daily life after more than 70 days of quarantine measures.
