Discussions on Tax Reform continue, Lira called for support for Administrative Reform, and Haddad confirmed that the government is looking into ending the Interest on Own Capital (JCP)
Despite the congressional recess, the discussions on Tax Reform continue behind the scenes. Yesterday, at the Business Leadership Group (Lide) event in São Paulo, the president of the House, Arthur Lira, said that he plans to discuss the complementary bills provided for by the Tax Reform Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC). At the event, Lira also spoke about Administrative Reform. He asked the businessmen to support the proposal and reiterated that it is ready and awaiting a vote in the plenary of the House. Yesterday, the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, confirmed that one of the measures being studied to increase revenue in the second semester is to end the Interest on Own Capital (JCP). The proposal was approved in the House in 2021.
