Economic activity grew 6.2% y-y in Feb 2024

The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic announced that in Feb 2024 economic activity expanded by 6.2% y-y. Given the growth in Jan 2024 of 4.6% y-y, the accumulated year-on-year growth in Jan-Feb 2024 is 5.4%. The economic activities with the highest year-on-year growth in Feb 2024 were hotels, bars and restaurants (12.8% y-y), construction (9.7% y-y), free zone manufacturing (9.4% y-y), commerce (8.5% y-y), energy and water ( 8.1%) and local manufacturing (6.9%).
