Energy ceasefire… we will stop killing you for a while…

My short comment on the energy ceasefire. When you have already destroyed everything strategically important that could be destroyed, further attacks bring only marginal additional effect. Yet you still have not achieved the outcome you expected, so you may try to sell your supposed “peacefulness” and “humaneness.” Who would buy it? Donald Trump always buys this kind of thing. The next step will likely be to accuse Ukraine of violating the energy ceasefire, which would make Trump angry about “nasty Ukrainians.” That would at least give Moscow some bonus from the situation. In addition, Putin aims to fuel public anxiety using pain-and-relief tactics to break morale. Very KGB-style.
