The published provisional measure reinstates the federal taxes on gasoline and ethanol, as well as establishing the rate of export tax on crude oil exports at 9.2% until June 30, 2023. The solution found was considered a victory for the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad. Today, the blocs and parties in the House and Senate will appoint the members of the permanent committees of the two houses of Congress according to party proportionality. The pressure in Congress for the installation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPMI) on the January 8 attacks continues. The government is against the CPMI because it believes that it may jeopardize the progress of bills of interest to the Executive Office.
