The final week of congressional activity is packed with important issues: the fiscal adjustment package, Tax Reform, the Budget Guidelines Law (LDO), and the 2025 Budget. The Central Bank will release the minutes from the latest Copom meeting, during which the committee decided to increase the basic interest (Selic) rate from 11.25% to 12.25%. President Lula (PT) was discharged from the hospital on Sunday and is expected to return to Brasília on Thursday.

The release of parliamentary fund transfers has also been a point of contention in Congress. Last week, a regulation authorizing these payments was even published.

The President of the House, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), has announced that this week will be exclusively dedicated to discussions and voting on matters in the House plenary, prohibiting committee meetings.
