First significant measures against COVID-19

Yesterday, on the eve of the municipal elections, the government announced new measures to face the risk of COVID-19. We believe that this is only the beginning and that more will be taken in the coming days. President Medina has convened the Government Council (meeting of all ministers) to discuss further actions. The measures announced yesterday include immediate suspension of flights from all European countries, China, Korea and Iran, mandatory quarantine for all passengers who have been in any of these countries during the last 15 days, suspension of the arrival of all passenger cruises to the country, suspension of all trips abroad by government official and citizens are asked to refrain from traveling abroad, except in strictly necessary cases.
