Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) stated yesterday that he will travel to the United States to advocate, on July 6, against the imposition of tariffs on Brazilian companies by the U.S. government. Flávio is expected to argue for the suspension of the proposed 25% tariff on Brazilian products and to defend Pix. Yesterday, the Federal Police launched Operation Mirage to dismantle an alleged fraud scheme against Brazil’s National Financial System involving the management of Banco Digimais, a financial institution controlled by Bishop Edir Macedo of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD). Today, Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court (STF) will hear cases concerning the employment relationship between drivers and delivery workers and digital platforms such as Uber and Rappi.
