Following the meeting between President Lula and U.S. President Donald Trump, the possibility of a meeting between Brazil’s Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio was announced. The meeting could take place later this week. Yesterday, Supreme Federal Court (STF) Chief Justice Edson Fachin met with Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) to discuss the Federal Justice Court Fee Fund. The Senate is currently reviewing a bill that creates the Federal Justice Special Fund (Fejufe) to finance the modernization of the federal judiciary. Today, the Supreme Federal Court’s First Panel begins the trial of defendants from the so-called “Group 4” of the attempted coup d’état—those allegedly responsible, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General, for the strategic disinformation operations.
