Today, four bills submitted by the Executive Office with a constitutional urgent status begin to block the agenda of the House. The first is the bill that establishes tax and customs compliance programs within the scope of the Federal Revenue Service. Also today, the 90-day deadline for the government to submit bills on income taxation and payroll tax relief to Congress ends. The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, said yesterday that the payroll tax exemption bill has already been submitted. Additionally, Fernando Haddad will meet with the Minister of Communications, Juscelino Filho, to discuss Ordinance MF No. 612, of June 2023, which determined that import taxes would not be charged for international purchases made via the internet for up to US$50 starting August 1, 2023.
