German delivers arms to Ukraine

On January 4 Ukraine announced that it has received a Skynex anti-aircraft system, missiles for Patriot air defense systems, ammunition for Leopard tanks, radars, drone, detectors, trucks, anti-aircraft guns and small arms and ammunition. Berlin said it will double military aid to Ukraine in 2024 raising to EUR 8 billion.Kyiv is keen that the world knows that while it urgently needs a lot more arms - it is receiving some arms. The Ukrainians are worried that Western Europe will decide that Ukraine is a lost cause. People will say - if no one else is donating why should we?Germany is one of Ukraine's biggest donors. But with Germany entering recession in 2024 it will be hard for the government to remain generous.
