Guedes asks for cooperation

After first quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) contracted by 1.5%, and in view of the intensification of the institutional dispute between the Executive Branch and the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Minister of Economy Paulo Guedes made an appeal for cooperation. In a virtual seminar promoted by the National Bank for Social and Economic Development (BNDES), Guedes asked for “cooperation, collaboration, understanding and solidarity” so that, after the coronavirus pandemic, the economy begins its recovery.
Even in the face of this complex scenario, the Ministry of Economy, through a technical note released today, maintains its commitment to the liberal agenda in the post-pandemic scenario.
