Yesterday the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, said once again that he will submit proposals to regulate Tax Reform by April 15. At first, he will submit bills related to consumption. We will also have little activity next week, as many legislators will not be in Brasília due to the party window—the period in which city council members can change parties without losing their mandate ahead of the upcoming municipal elections in October. The leader of the government in Congress, Senator Randolfe Rodrigues (No party-AP), stated that the Planalto Palace is negotiating a partial override of the sections vetoed by President Lula in the 2024 Budget.
