The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, said that nothing is missing from the new fiscal framework. The final step is to submit it to President Lula so that he can have the final say. Yesterday, at the National Front of Mayors event, there was some resistance from the mayors regarding Tax Reform. The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, said that the feeling today is that municipalities will lose autonomy and resources. Today, the Economic Affairs Committee (CAE) of the Senate will review a request that invites the president of the Central Bank, Roberto Campos Neto, to speak about the basic interest rate.
