Higher coronavirus infections than ever in Russia

On January 26 Russia broke its own record for the 6th day in a row. There were 74,000 infections but only 657 deaths. Omicron is surging.St Petersburg has banned children from theaters, movie theaters, sports venues and museums until February 13.The Mayor of Moscow said that employers must have 30% of their workers working remotely. The Prime Minister has encouraged other regions to do likewise. The quarantine period for those with coronavirus is now only 7 days. So many people have got it that a 14-day quarantine was having a deleterious effect on the economy.70% of people with Omicron are unvaccinated. The new vaccine is EpiVacCorona. Its distribution has been suspended. Under 50% of people have had even a single jab. Coronavirus is not the main issue in the media. The NATO dispute is far more prominent. Most people are bored by coronavirus.
