Fidesz-KDNP Won a Constitutional Majority Again According to preliminary results released by the National Electoral Committee, the incumbent governing alliance Fidesz-KDNP won the regular four-yearly election held in the unicameral National Assembly yesterday (April 6). The winner acquired 133 out of the total 199 seats (66.8%) in parliament, meaning it has just reached the two-thirds majority needed for any amendment of the Constitution and a number of so-called cardinal laws, which regulate the basic structure and rules of the Hungarian State.
