In a nod to the bases, Bolsonaro polarizes regarding the Supreme Court

Alongside the positive signs made yesterday towards the Federal Supreme Court (STF) with the indications of André Mendonça for the Ministry of Justice and Public Security and José Levi for the Advocacy General of the Union (AGU) – names with good relations in the STF – President Jair Bolsonaro stated, “I am in charge," indicating that he will insist on the appointment of delegate Alexandre Ramagem to be the Federal Police´s (PF) Director General. Bolsonaro´s demonstration came after the STF minister, Alexandre de Moraes, accepted a security mandate from the PDT and annulled the choice made by the Planalto Palace for alleged misuse of purpose. The double movements made by Bolsonaro yesterday and today may have been politically calculated.
