Iran alleged to be arming Russia

On March 8 a British TV channel claimed that Iran is shipping bullets, rockets and mortar shells to Russia via the Caspian Sea. The munitions were allegedly sent by two Russian cargo ships. Sky News said that the shipment included 100 million bullets, 300,000 shells and 10,000 flak jackets and helmets. Sky News said they have a security source. However, this report should be treated with caution. Even so, there are pro-government Russian sources that suggest the reports are true. Iran has a cordial relationship with Russia. Western officials have been accusing Iran of arming Russia since 2022. Russia and Iran both deny this.
