Lorenzo Córdova, chair of the National Electoral institute announced in an official message tonight, at 11 pm, the results of the institute's quick count exercise. The results are: AMLO: 53%-53.8%Ricardo Anaya: 22.1-22.8%José Antonio Meade: 15.7%-16.3%Jaime Rodríguez: 5.3-5.5%There was a very positive participation in the election, 62.9-63.8% of the citizens summoned to participate (83 millions) voted. These results make AMLO the president with the largest proportion of votes since 1982, On the other hand, these are the worst results for a PRI candidate in history (more than eight of every ten voters rejected the party in office). Ricardo Anaya falls below the percentage that Josefina Vázquez Mota won in the 2012 presidential election.
