Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice André Mendonça has ordered Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) to extend the INSS Joint Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPMI). The committee had originally been scheduled to conclude on March 28. Paraná Governor Ratinho Júnior (PSD) has withdrawn from the presidential race. The announcement was made yesterday (March 23) in a statement posted on social media. He also confirmed that he will complete his term as governor and will not run for any office in the October elections. Today, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) is set to rule on an Electoral Judicial Investigation Action (AIJE) against former Rio de Janeiro Governor Cláudio Castro (PL), who is accused of hiring thousands of temporary workers through the Ceperj Foundation for electoral purposes during the 2022 campaign.
