Justice Dias Toffoli of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) was randomly assigned to report on a writ of mandamus filed by Congressman Rodrigo Rollemberg (PSB-DF) seeking the installation of a Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) to investigate Banco Master. However, Toffoli recused himself from the writ. Yesterday, the Genial/Quaest poll on the presidential succession was released. For the first time, the poll shows a tie between President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) in a simulated second-round presidential race. Senator Flávio Bolsonaro’s candidacy is clearly gaining momentum. He continues to pick up important support in the race.
