Kolomoisky designated corrupt by the US

On March 5 the United States stated that Ihor Kolomoisky is guilty of significant corruption. He and his close relatives have therefore been banned from entering the United States. It is speculated that the banned list might be extended to cover his associates.The statement against Kolomoisky relates to his time as Governor of Dnipopetrovsk Region. It does not relate to the allegation that he plundered USD 5.5 billion from PrivatBank by giving false loans. The US is investigating Kolomoisky on the allegation that he bought US realty using stolen money. Ukraine badly needs to tackle corruption in order to receive loans from the IMF and grants from the EU.
