Yesterday, President Lula delivered a nationwide address on radio and TV to announce two measures. The first is that today, a payment of R$ 1,000 from the Pé de Meia program will be made. This is a financial-educational incentive program aimed at students enrolled in public high schools. Today, Lula has a meeting with Minister of Labor Luiz Marinho to discuss issuing a provisional measure to authorize the release of the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS) for workers who were fired but could not access their retained balance due to accessing funds by means of the birthday withdrawal option. Yesterday, the Joint Budget Committee announced that the 2025 Budget vote will take place on March 11.
