President Lula once again criticized the Central Bank (BC). He went so far as to say that the Senate needs to "be on the lookout" for the president of the Central Bank, Roberto Campos Neto. It is not a simple process to remove the president of the BC, and the chance it will happen is low. Lula also spoke about Eletrobras. He said that the Attorney General's Office (AGU) will go to court against clauses in the company's privatization process. Today, a meeting is scheduled between the Secretary of the Treasury, Rogério Ceron, and the Secretaries of Finance of the states to discuss compensation for losses resulting from the change in the Tax on the Circulation of Goods and Services (ICMS) on fuel, energy, transportation, and electricity.
