At Aloizio Mercadante's inauguration as president of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), Lula made statements that were not well received by the market. He once again criticized the Central Bank due to the level of interest rates. Yesterday, Finance Minister Haddad, the Minister of Institutional Relations, Alexandre Padilha, and the leader of the government in the House, José Guimarães, met with party leaders to discuss the provisional measure (MP) that reinstates the quality vote in the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF) and Tax Reform. Regarding Tax Reform, Guimarães said that the government's idea is to unify Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) 110, which is in the Senate, and PEC 45, which is being discussed in the House.
