A decree from President Lula was published today in the Federal Official Gazette regulating the Reciprocity Law. The decree establishes the Interministerial Committee on Economic and Trade Negotiations and Countermeasures. The committee is meeting with representatives from the affected trade sectors today. The Supreme Federal Court (STF) will hold a conciliation meeting today between the Executive and Legislative branches regarding the increase in the Tax on Financial Transactions (IOF). Also scheduled for today (July 15) is the installation of the Joint Committee responsible for reviewing Provisional Measure No. 1,303/25, which, among other topics, addresses the taxation of fintechs, betting platforms, interest on equity, and financial investments.
