Lula should announce appointments to the STF and PGR this week, the House may vote on the legal framework for guarantees, and the Senate Environment Committee may vote on the carbon credit market bill

President Lula should is expected to announce the appointment for the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and the Prosecutor General's Office (PGR). Currently, the two strongest names to replace Justice Rosa Weber are the Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino (PSB), and the Attorney General of the Federal Government, Jorge Messias. The two people being considered for the PGR position are Deputy Electoral Attorney General Paulo Gonet and Deputy Attorney General Antônio Carlos Bigonha. The latter is preferred by the PT. This week, the House may vote on the legal framework for guarantees, proposed by the Executive Office in 2021. The Senate Environment Committee may vote, on Wednesday, September 27, on the bill that regulates the carbon credit market. The rapporteur for the matter is Senator Leila Barros (PDT-CE).
