Yesterday, Lula signed a provisional measure that revokes the resumption of the payroll tax, but it has not yet been published in the Federal Official Gazette. The measure was negotiated with the National Congress. Also yesterday, the House approved the urgent status for the bill dealing with crypto. It establishes requirements for virtual asset service providers to operate in Brazil. Today, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) will adjudicate an appeal filed by the Attorney General's Office (AGU) against a decision that recognized the right of retirees to opt for the application of the most beneficial rule when calculating their retirement benefit (lifetime review of the INSS).
