President Lula underwent surgery in São Paulo on Monday night, December 9, after experiencing headaches. The surgery went well, and Lula is now being monitored in an ICU bed. This development could potentially impact Congress’s agenda. Yesterday, Senator Eduardo Braga released his report on the bill regulating Tax Reform (Complementary Bill 68/24). However, due to a lack of quorum, the scheduled reading of the report did not take place. Today, the Senate’s Economic Affairs Committee will hold confirmation hearings for appointees to the Central Bank’s board: Nilton David (Monetary Policy), Izabela Correa (Public Relations), and Gilneu Vivan (Regulation).
