Today, Lula will have a meeting with Geraldo Alckmin, who was appointed as coordinator of the transition team. On Tuesday, Lula will be in Brasília. He will have meetings with Lower House President Arthur Lira (PP-AL), Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG) and Supreme Federal Court President Minister Rosa Weber. The purpose of the proposed PEC is to ensure that the R$ 600 payments of the Auxílio Brasil program continue next year and to guarantee an increase in the minimum wage. The rest of the transition team will be announced this week. Economist André Lara Resende accepted the invitation to join the team. Persio Arida was also invited and is also expected to accept. Lula should include members of the MDB, PSD, and all 10 allied parties.
