The relaunching of the program reinforces Lula's connection with the low-income population and re-establishes the social brand of the Lula government. The increase in the export tax on crude oil announced by the government faces resistance from Congress. The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, said the measure is a "transitional solution" and just a way to phase in the reinstatement of the tax. President Lula recorded an interview with journalist Reinaldo Azevedo, from Band. The interview will air today at 6 p.m.
