With President Lula's return to Brazil after the BRICS meeting, Ministerial Reform may be finalized. The PP and Republicanos are waiting for a decision regarding which ministries they will be given, including the Ports and Airports, Science and Technology, Sports, and Social Development ministries. The House is due to vote this week on the bill that extends the payroll tax exemption for 17 sectors of the economy until December 2027. The benefit is scheduled to end on December 31. On Wednesday, August 30, the Federal Senate is expected to vote on the bill on the tie-breaking vote on the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF).
