Executive Summary Although the governing Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) experienced a net loss of votes compared to past elections and obtained only 29.2% of the vote, that proved to be enough to win 176, or slightly more than 60% of the 300 single member, relative majority districts. The PRI took close to a third of those seats away from the National Action Party (PAN) and the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), but also lost 33 districts to opposition candidates.
